Hi The-Best-Icon-Community-in-the-World, :-)
Do you guys know if there`s any report of what design style will be a trend for icon design in 2020?
Any help will be very appreciated .
Monica is already uncovering some details here: https://forum.iconfinder.com/d/60-data-for-designer-report-q1-2020
Hi fasticon 👋 Today I came across this article. It talks about UI design trends in general (rather than focusing on icons specifically), but I thought the points about what the author calls "new skeuomorphism" are interesting. Will it grow into a more prominent trend and affect the icon design? No one knows. Anyway, I hope you'll find something valuable in the article (and the comments' section) 😊
@laurareen and @fasticon Hello! ❤️
Dirceu, thanks for the question! As Laura mentioned, I am already digging out some data from what's been going on in the Iconfinder marketplace during 2019. I can only offer some insights based on past data. Take a look at the post that Laura mentioned: https://forum.iconfinder.com/d/60-data-for-designer-report-q1-2020.
I am not a designer, so it's hard for me to see what could become a design trend in 2020 (like some new shiny style). Maybe @CristianBogdanRosu or @MartinLeBlanc could pitch in their ideas about that? 😊
ievaa i have noticed that stock trend a little bit behind than custom project trends. if new skeumorphism will come to icon trend, it will be for a year in custom product, only then maybe coming to stock, if go viral enough.
maybe i'm not right 🤪
laurareen Good point. We should really prioritize making a proper job board for custom jobs.
