Hello Iconfinder community! First, please allow me to officially introduce myself: The name’s Sara. I’m originally from NYC, but landed in beautiful Copenhagen last summer to see what Europe has in store for me. I started working on content curation with Iconfinder a few months ago, and have been loving the world of reviewing cute panda glyphs and spaceship outlines ever since.
We've recently made some updates to our guidelines and policies to help keep our content relevant, fresh, and accessible. Take a look at the recap below, and let us know if you have any questions or comments 🙂
Removal Policy: Icons and sets which violate any policy or guideline may be removed.
Rest Mode: Icons that are outdated or underperforming may be set to rest mode. These icons will no longer appear in the regular search results, but will still be visible and available for purchase directly from the contributor’s shop page.
Offensive Content Policy: Read through our criteria for content which is deemed unsuitable and may be removed as well as no longer accepted.
Explicit label: To allow for more sensitive accessibility and underage use, an explicit label will be implemented for icons that are of adult nature, and not suitable for educational or workplace use.
Logo & Trademark Policy: In most cases, icons that contain a trademark must be offered for free. This policiy outlines specific example of what can and can’t be sold as premium.
Updated Tagging Guidelines: Follow our clear 8 steps for the best tagging practices. Sets which violate these guidelines may be marked for review and will rank lower in search results until they are properly edited.
Excited to hear your thoughts and feedback to these updates, and happy to tweak where needed before officially finalizing anything.
